Serious talk: how many people are against any form of authoritarianism? Seeing that you’ve stumbled upon a democratic socialist blog, I’ll bet that you are. But how many people are organized in their anti-authoritarianism? If you live anywhere in the United States right now, you’ll see that our very democracy is being attacked by right-wing forces. They’re fascists–from the more mask-off organizations like the Proud Boys to your so-called ‘Republican’ senator. The reason I write this is because I want to draw your attention to the Iron Front USA, a noble organization that is dedicated to the preservation of democracy, composed of many anti-fascist and anti-authoritarian leftists.

The Iron Front USA is an organization of left-wing Americans who proudly wave the American flag. Similar to The Rose Outlook, they use the three-arrows design to mimic the real Iron Front, a social democratic organization that fought against Nazis in Weimar Germany. According to their page, they are ‘dedicated to the opposition of economic tyranny’. The Iron Front USA are not simply liberal imperialists; they are patriots that want to steer their country in a better, left-wing direction. Regardless of ideology, they hold it necessary that a popular front be formed against fascism in our country!

Their page further reads, “To the radical who balks at collaboration with liberals who uphold the systems you seek to replace, we say only this: You may find dismantling hierarchy to be significantly more difficult under a fascist police state than under a neoliberal democracy. Now is the time for pragmatism, not ideological purity tests.

To the moderate who is wary of rubbing shoulders with the more radical elements of organized resistance: Know that the fascist does not care to distinguish. To him, the centrist and the anarchist are subversives both, and under his yoke both shall meet the same fate.”

The Iron Front USA organizes locally in a horizontal Hong-Kong style model with encrypted communications. They reject any centralized power and urge you to ORGANIZE LOCALLY. So, I implore you to check out their website here and get organized!
